The Why Behind What We Do

Group of diverse young athletes standing on a circular stage at the Outside Lands music festival, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, with a large green and black stage decoration behind them and stadium seating filled with spectators in the background.

In June 2026, Brentwood Endurance Company helped fund the opportunity for nine local athletes to travel to Oregon and compete at Nike Outdoor Nationals. We are so proud of the way they represented our community and themselves, competed hard, supported each other, and made lasting memories on this trip.

These are the moments that remind us why we do this: to help athletes try harder, grow stronger, get farther.

    Coach Weiler - Treasurer

Coach Weiler has a long history of participating in various athletic activities as well as coaching youth sports.  He was a distance track and soccer athlete in high school and began playing roller hockey and ice hockey after he graduated college.  After a ~20 year career playing hockey, Coach Weiler rediscovered his love for running when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down most other sports.  Since then he has been running ~20-30 miles most weeks.  In 2025, Coach Weiler checked off a bucket list item by competing in the Coach's Mile at Nike Outdoor Nationals clocking in at 5:29 over 1600m at age 48.

Coach Weiler coached youth baseball for 5 years before taking over the Heritage High School Track and Field distance program in 2023.  He became Head Coach of the Heritage Cross Country team in 2024, winning Bay Valley Athletic League Fall Male Sports Coach of the Year in 2025.
